Check-ins to shut down sooner on Frontier Airlines

(Denver, CO)  --  Frontier Airlines says its check-in counters and bag-drops will be closing sooner starting this month.

In a tweet Tuesday, the airline said starting August 16th, all Frontier ticket counters will close for check-in and bag-drop 60 minutes prior to flight departure.

Currently, check-in is open until 45 minutes before departure for domestic flights at most Frontier locations.

A Frontier spokesperson says the change is meant to make the check-in process more uniform across the airline's flights, and to give passengers more time to get through security and to their gate.

WDAY Radio Now is reaching out to Frontier Airlines to determine the new policy's impact on the airline's operations at Hector International Airport in Fargo and at MSP.
