Fargo police chief calls for more mental health support for citizens

(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski says there needs to be more support for citizens dealing with mental health issues.

"What we're trying to do is bring this issue to the attention of our elected officials, local and state, who are aware of the problem and try to come up with some solutions," said Zibolski.

The chief says mental health facilities are needed locally, including residential treatment centers to help people with chronic, severe mental illnesses, who can't function in society.
