(Fargo, ND) -- West Fargo City Commission candidate John Severson says he will work to eliminate specials if elected.
"There's other cities in the state that don't use specials. I believe Minot, I don't think they charge specials. I think there has to be a way of funding projects that doesn't always continually lay it on the property owners," said Severson.
Severson is a political newcomer and works full time in transportation and logistics.
His other goals include reducing the "size, scope and cost of city government".
Severson made the comments while appearing on WDAY Mid Day.
