(Fargo, ND)  --  A Fargo man has avoided trial with a guilty plea to charges connected to the death of a West Fargo man.

Fabian Scott was sentenced this week to 12 years in prison for his role in the killing of 16-year-old James Moore.

Authorities say Moore and Scott planned to rob Marcus Rexrode during a drug deal last year.

But Moore was killed in an exchange of gunfire with Rexrode.
