Fargo home sustains heavy damage in morning fire

(Fargo, ND) -- A home in Fargo sustained significant damage in a fire which broke out around 7:00 Thursday morning.

A firefighter responding to the blaze also required medical attention.

It happened at 4172 58th Street South.

Crews were able to confine the heavy damage to a room where the fire began, which appeared to be a library.

The initial estimate for the damage is $250,000.

The firefighter who was assessed by an ambulance crew returned to work.

The people living in the home are expected to be displaced for "an extended time". 

There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
