Fargo Fire department responds to fire that began due to hot embers

(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo fire crews responded to a fire at a home around 11:20 last night.

The fire happened at 28 Fremont Drive South. Fargo Fire Marshal Ryan Erickson says the initial call to 9-1-1 indicated the homeowner had put hot embers into a trash can.

Damage is estimated at around $6,000 dollars. No injuries are reported.
