Fargo Police arrest man alleged of holding ex-girlfriend hostage for several days

(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo Police say a man was arrested following an alleged several-day long hostage situation.

Authorities say the victim was able to text her employer on April 8th, saying she was being held hostage for multiple days by her ex-boyfriend, 39-year-old Anthony Peterson. Police then responded to the 2600 block of 14th Street South, safely removing the victim from the home. Authorities say she told investigators she was being held at gunpoint since April 5th.

Police arrested Peterson on multiple charges, including Felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Felonious Restraint, and Terrorizing - With a Dangerous Weapon and Possession of Stolen Property.
