ND congressional candidate Balazs supports providing "training and weaponry" to Ukraine

(Fargo, ND) -- North Dakota republican congressional candidate Alex Balazs said he is in favor of the U.S. providing financial support to Ukraine in it's war against Russia, but with an approach that is limited and accountable. 

"I'm not in favor and I do not agree with giving buckets of cash to any country without accountability. There is lots of ways to support these guys. I do agree with providing U.S. support to the Ukraine people and the fighters in the form of training and weaponry," said Balazs. 

Balazs said the U.S. should not give cash to Ukraine's diplomats and leaders, but instead direct financial support directly to "fighters over there". 

Balazs made the comments during a congressional debate hosted by The Flag.
