(Moorhead, MN) -- The former executive director of the FM Metro Flood Diversion Authority is putting his hat in the race to become a member of the Clay County Commission.

Joel Paulsen says he will leverage his experience in civil engineering and community service, push for transparency, and commit to keep taxes low while ensuring essential services are met.

"As a former City Council member and leader of the historic $3.2 billion flood diversion project, I have always put the interests of our community first," said Paulsen. "It is with a renewed sense of purpose that I seek to serve on the Clay County Commission, where I will strive for transparency in government and prioritize community services that enhance the quality of life for all residents."

WDAY Radio is set to speak with Paulsen about his campaign in a future interview. Stay with us as more details become available.
