U.S. citizen accused of sharing classified documents on foreign dating app.

(Bellevue, NE)  --  A U.S. Strategic Command civilian employee accused of sharing classified information on a foreign dating app is scheduled to appear in court today. 

Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel David Franklin Slater was arrested this past weekend on three charges, including conspiracy to disclose national defense information. He allegedly was communicating with someone claiming to be a woman from Ukraine, sharing sensitive information picked up in classified briefings on Russia's invasion.

Slater faces up to ten years in prison for each charge and a fine of up to $250,000 if fully convicted.
