9-1-1 outages reported across the country

(WDAY Radio) -- Multiple states, including South Dakota and parts of Minnesota, experienced 911 outages last night. South Dakota's outage lasted about three hours.

Eight other states were affected, including Nebraska, Iowa, and Wisconsin.

The Department of Homeland Security has warned of increased risks of cyber attacks on 911 services as they have migrated to digital systems.
