(Minot, ND) -- North Dakota is beginning to feel the effects of a nationwide truck driver shortage.
Around 80-thousand more drivers are needed to keep the supply chain moving in the country. North Dakota continues to have a shortage, but the number of new commercially licensed drivers has remained steady at just over 51-thousand.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation requires CDLs to be renewed every four years.
