(St. Paul, MN) -- The Minnesota Department of Human Rights is joining a lawsuit against McDonald's franchisee Hyder Investments.
MDHR and the parent of a 14-year-old girl allege the franchisee failed to prevent a manager at its Maple Grove Restaurant from "grooming" her for a sexual encounter and creating a hostile work environment. The suit also alleges that other employees in power were told of the situation and did nothing to stop it.
The manager has pleaded guilty in criminal court to sexual misconduct in connection with the case.
