(St. Paul, MN) -- Minnesota legislators are making a bipartisan push to allow sports betting in the state.

A Senate proposal would allow in-person betting at tribal casinos and racetracks, and online gaming through vendors overseen by tribes. If passed and signed, the law could go into effect in fall 2023.

The move would be one of the biggest expansions of for-profit gambling in state history.
