Burnsville High School lockdown lifted after hours-long search for weapon

(Burnsville, MN) -- Officials at Burnsville High School say a lockdown initiated Tuesday was lifted three hours after it began.  

Police were on scene around noon searching for a reported weapon on campus. No weapon was found and no injuries were reported.  

Students were released at 3 p.m. and all after-school activities were canceled.
