Millions available for Independent Food Processors in Minnesota

(St. Paul, MN) -- Grants are now available for independent food processors in Minnesota.

The grants are part of a larger two-hundred-million-dollar fund by the USDA for meat and poultry processors. Over seven-hundred-thousand-dollars has been given out by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture this year in processing grants for independent processors hoping to expand operations.

The grant applications are open to any meat, poultry, egg, and milk producers.
