Morton County Prosecutor, State's Attorney candidate placed on paid leave

(Morton County, ND) -- A Morton County assistant prosecutor is on paid leave while officials investigate an employee complaint.

Gabrielle Goter was put on paid administrative leave June 27th after an employee filed a complaint earlier in the month.

The state's attorney candidate told The Bismarck Tribune she was shocked by the situation. Goter previously served as the lead prosecutor in the trial of Chad Isaak last summer.

The nature of the complaint hasn't been released.
