(Mankato, MN) -- The Minnesota Supreme Court is upholding a law that prohibits convicted felons from voting while on parole or probation.
The ruling was made Wednesday in a case that was brought by a group of people with felony convictions on their records.
The plaintiffs were asking the judge to restore voting rights immediately following release from incarceration.
DFL lawmakers have introduced a bill that would restore voting rights for felons while they are on parole or probation.
