Guilty plea expected from Minnesota man charged with stealing Judy Garland's red slippers

(Duluth, MN)  --  A Minnesota man accused of stealing the ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland in the Wizard of Oz is expected to change his plea to guilty next week.

Seventy-six-year-old Terry Martin pleaded not guilty in June on a charge of theft of a major artwork.

He's accused of stealing the shoes in 2005 from the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids.

The famous footwear was recovered in a sting operation in Minneapolis in 2018 but no one was linked to the crime for several years.

Martin is expected back in court on October 13.
