(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota has been ranked the most dangerous state for workers by Atticus, a law firm that focuses on workplace safety.

The firm says North Dakota has the most OSHA work-related fatalities in the nation, at one-point-seven per a-hundred-thousand workers. The AFL-CIO blames North Dakota's lax worker compensation laws. They also point out that North Dakota has a federal OSHA program with only seven assigned federal employees to investigated every business in the state.

So far in 2023, OSHA has reported two workplace deaths in the state, and no citations were issued for either.
