(Beulah, ND) -- A funeral is set for a Mercer County deputy who was killed in the line of duty last week.
53-year-old Paul Martin was responding to a high-speed chase along Highway 200 near Hazen last Wednesday when the suspect slammed into his patrol vehicle.
The 18-year police veteran died at the scene.
The suspect, 42-year-old Ian Cramer, was arrested and charged with manslaughter.
Martin is survived by his wife, three children, and four grandchildren.
His service will take place at Beulah Public High School tomorrow afternoon followed by a procession to the Barbot Funeral Home.
