Final Minnesota flag candidates narrowed down to three options

(St. Paul, MN) -- The finalists for Minnesota's Flag Designs are reduced from six to three options.

The options vary in design, but all include some form of star based on the nickname "star of the north". The new designs were discussed at a Tuesday meeting. The State Emblem and Redesign Commission is expected to meet later this week to further discuss the new flag designs. A final design is expected to be presented to the state legislature for a final vote in the 2024 legislative session.
