North Dakota homeowners can apply for property tax relief

(Bismarck, ND) -- Relief is on the way for North Dakota homeowners.

Residents are able to apply for up to five-hundred dollars off this year's property taxes.

It's part of a new program designed by the Office of State Tax Commissioner.

People need to show proof of residency and identity.

If approved, the credit will be deducted from the bill for the 2024 tax year.

Online applications opened this week and must be submitted through the department's website by the end of March.
