(Bismarck, ND) -- Great Plains Food Bank served a record number of people in need last year.

The food bank provided food to more than 156,000 people in 2023, which is 13% higher than the number of people served in 2022. Food Bank CEO Melissa Sobolik says increasing inflation and rising food prices are big factors in the increased need.  She says the figures don't call for a record-breaking celebration, but instead, represent a call to action.
