University of Minnesota regents set to select new president

(Minneapolis, MN)  --  A new president will be selected today for the University of Minnesota.

Regents will meet and select between three candidates.

Those in the running are President of Cleveland State University Laura Bloomberg, University of Michigan vice president for research and innovation Rebecca Cunningham, and University of New Mexico provost and executive vice president for academic affairs James Holloway.

The search for a new president started last year when former leader Joan Gabel announced she would be leaving to become chancellor at the University of Pittsburgh.
