(Minneapolis, MN) -- The University of Minnesota is welcoming a new leader.
The Board of Regents selected Rebecca Cunningham yesterday as the university president.
The vote cleared the way for contract talks with the University of Michigan vice president for research and innovation.
Cunningham is expected to begin her new job on July 1.
