(St. Paul, MN) -- Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon says voters will have the final say when it comes to the political fortunes of former President Donald Trump.

Simon issued a statement yesterday after the Supreme Court decided Trump could not be excluded from the presidential primary ballot in Colorado. The high court ruled only Congress could enforce a section of the 14th Amendment that bars those who support insurrection from running for public office.

Simon says the ruling provides needed clarity, adding "voters are in charge of what happens next."
