(Bismarck, ND) -- Ian Cramer has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from an incident at Sanford Health in Bismarck that led to the death of Mercer County Deputy Paul Martin.

The incident happened last December, when Cramer backed his mother's SUV through the hospital ambulance bay door and drove away. Police say he later crashed into and killed Deputy Martin during a car chase.

Cramer faces charges of theft, criminal mischief, and reckless endangerment in connection with what happened at the hospital.
