(Duluth, MN) -- The Duluth City Council will discuss joining other Minnesota cities in adopting a resolution calling for a permanent cease-fire in Gaza.

Three members of the council have introduced the measure that will be discussed tonight, but are facing push-back from some colleagues who don't see the conflict as a local issue. Council members who dislike the resolution say they've heard concerns from members of the Jewish community who worry about their safety.

Four other Minnesota cities have passed similar resolutions, including Minneapolis and St. Paul.
