Minnesota launching opioid recovery and safe consumption areas

(St. Paul, MN) -- Minnesota is launching a $200 million plan to reduce deaths from opioid abuse.

The plan involves implementing safe recovery centers, potentially including safe consumption areas, where people can bring their drugs to be tested for deadly substances like fentanyl.

The first recovery center could open as soon as next year.
