(Fairbault, MN) -- Prosecutors in Faribault, Minnesota say a Tennessee trucker was watching Netflix on his phone just before a crash that killed two people last year.

55-year-old Billy Joe Grimes is facing multiple charges, including two counts of criminal vehicular homicide. Investigators say Grimes ignored road signs telling drivers to slow down as he approached a construction zone on I-35 near Faribault last August. Grimes's truck was going about 70 miles an hour when it crashed into two vehicles, causing the death of an Iowa couple.

Grimes has denied using his phone before the crash.
