Drought conditions across Minnesota begin to ease

(St. Paul, MN) -- Nearly three-quarters of Minnesota is now drought-free.  

The latest U.S. Drought Monitor map shows just over 72% of the state with no trace of drought, up from nearly 61% last week.  About 8% of the state is in moderate drought, with 19% classified as abnormally dry.  Two months ago, 99% of the state was in some form of drought.
