Reminder to protect pipes during extreme cold

(Fargo, ND) --  North Dakota residents spend a lot of time battling the cold with 184 days of the year below freezing.

That comes with a fair share of burst water pipes which can cause extensive damage.  

Some tips to avoid the mess is to insulate pipes by wrapping them, allowing faucets to drip especially for pipes against outside walls and opening cabinets beneath sinks to let warmer air from the room in to warm the pipes.
