Grand Forks Police Respond to Suicidal Man

At 5:25 p.m. Tuesday night, Grand Forks Police were dispatched for a suicidal subject in the 1100 block of 14th Avenue South. Upon officers arrival, the male subject was found to have two knives on him. The apartment building was evacuated.  After a brief period of time the Grand Forks Crisis Negotiation Team was called out to assist the officers. A short time later, the male subject put the knives down and walked out of the building.  The male subject was transported to Altru. No one was injured during this event. The Grand Forks Police were assisted by the Crisis Negotiation Team and the Altru Paramedics.
