(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo City Officials say there are now two opening on an environmental committee, and are asking you for help.

The goal of the Sustainability and Resiliency Committee is to help The City promote "environmental stewardship" opportunities and efforts. In addition, the committee would evaluate existing efforts Fargo uses to emphasize sustainability, and would be seeking your feedback to improve those methods.

“The Sustainability and Resiliency Committee represents an incredible opportunity to activate residents in an effort to create a cleaner, more sustainable and environmentally-friendly community. This is truly one of the greatest and most lasting impacts an individual can make for Fargo. The work of this committee will reverberate in this community for generations,” remarked Committee Chair John Strand in a statement to WDAY Radio.

Fargo officials will begin reviewing the applications received by Wednesday, April 5, 2023. Members of the committee are expected to meet every second Tuesday of every other month at 3 p.m, and are expected to put an estimated two to three hours of work per month towards committee assignments.
