FAA Waiver allows more North Dakota Companies to fly Drones in State

(Grand Forks, ND) -- A new FAA waiver is set to allow more companies to fly drones in North Dakota.

The new waiver would allow companies without a public designation to fly around the Northern Plains Unmanned Aerial System Test Site.

Site officials have been working to obtain the waiver as a way to keep North Dakota competitive in the UAS market.

Officials say the move opens the door for companies around the country to fly aircraft at the North Dakota test site.
