Police investigate shooting at south Fargo apartment

(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo police say they're investigating a shooting at an apartment complex in the 1600 block of 33rd Ave. S.

The shooting was reported Thursday morning at 8:45. 

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.

Investigators say the victim and the suspect know each other and tell WDAY Radio Now there is no "reason to believe there is a threat to the public". 

Police describe the case as an "active investigation" and say "there are no additional releasable details at this time". 

Information on the suspect was not provided.
