Fargo Man Arrested On Felony Assault Charge in Moorhead

 

A 24-year-old Fargo man is in jail tonight, being held on probable cause for Felony second degree assault with a weapon, pending formal charges from the Clay County Attorney’s offices.

According to the Moorhead Police Department, officers responded to the 1500 block of 20th Avenue South on Thursday, at around 6:41 p.m., on a report of an unknown disturbance. While responding to the call, officers received a call for service in the same area, stating that a male was possibly struck by a vehicle. Officers arrived, and were able to determined the calls were related.

Officers made contact with several individuals at a residence, along with a male and a vehicle west of the residence.

During the course of the investigation, officers learned of a disagreement between two associated individuals, and that an assault had occurred.

As a result of the assault, a male was struck with a blunt object, suffering non-life threatening injuries. The victim declined medical care for his injuries.

The suspect, 24-year-old Gordick John Swain, of Fargo, was taken into custody and transported to the Clay County Jail.
