Wild bolster lineup with free agency moves

 

The Wild made moves in free-agency on Monday acquiring forwards Mats Zuccarello and Ryan Hartman. Minnesota gets Zuccarello on a 5 year, $30 million dollar deal and Hartman gets a $3.8 million dollar deal over two years. Zuccarello, the 31 year old Oslo, Norway native played las season for the New York Rangers and Dallas Stars and recorded 40 points in 48 games.

Hartman split time with the Nashville Predators and the Philadelphia Flyers last season and had 12 goals and 14 assists on the year.

Grand Forks native and former UND Hockey star Luke Johnson signed a two year, two way deal with the Wild on Monday. He will make 700,000 if he plays in the NHL and 175,000 this year and 200,000 next year if he plays for Minnesota’s AHL team the Iowa Wild in Des Moines.
