Polk County crash injuries one

 

On Thursday, at approximately 8:40 a.m., the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Altru Ambulance, East Grand Forks Fire Department, Oslo First Responders responded to the intersection of CR 64 and CR 22 for a two vehicle crash with personal injury.

Upon arrival deputies observed that a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Ordean Thompson, age 81, was traveling north bound on CR 22 when it lost control on the icy covered roadway, entered the south bound lane and struck a 2018 Subaru, driven by Lynne Olson, age 46 of Oslo, Minn., who was south bound on CR 22.  Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. 

Thompson was transported by ambulance to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks with serious injuries.  Olson was treated and released at the scene.

This investigation is active and ongoing.  No further information will be released at this time.
