Single Vehicle Crash Kills Williston Boy

 

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is actively investigating a weekend crash that killed a Williston boy northwest of the city.

According to the HP, a GMC Sierra was traveling northbound on 139th Ave NW near 53rd St NW. The vehicle traveled over a section of washboard ruts in the roadway. A 16 year old juvenile male riding in the bed of the pickup was ejected.

The juvenile male was transported to CHI St. Alexius in Williston by Williston Ambulance and died of injuries sustained during the accident.

The 15 year male driver, along with a 15 year old female and 18 year old male, were not injured in the crash.

In addition to the HP and Williston Ambulance, the Williams County Sheriff’s Department, Williston Police Department and Williston Fire Department assisted in the call.
