The MLB All-Star Game Is Moving From Atlanta To Denver

Just days ago the MLB was planning on having the All-Star game at the Atlanta Braves home ballpark Truist Park. After Georgia passed a new voting law some view as restrictive, the MLB decided to pull the All-Star game from Atlanta.

The decision was made by commissioner Rob Manfred on Friday when he also announced that they would be pulling the amateur draft from the venue. Manfred stated that “the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport is by relocating.” In response to Manfred’s decision the Braves said they are “deeply disappointed”, stating that businesses, employees, and fans in Georgia are “victims” to the decision.

Earlier today the MLB announced the new venue that will be hosting this year’s All-Star game. It will be hosted at Coors Field in Denver, the home of the Colorado Rockies. The last time the MLB All-Star game was in 1998 when the American League won 13-8, marking the highest scoring affair in the All-Star game's history.
