Timberwolves overcome slow start to take down Mavericks

(Dallas, TX) -- An early 15-point deficit didn't bother the Timberwolves during their 119-101 win over the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center.

The Wolves trailed 19-4 in the first quarter, but they came back to make it a one-point game at halftime. Minnesota outscored Dallas 60-41 in the second half to earn the victory. Naz Reid poured in 27 points off the bench, while Karl-Anthony Towns had 21 points and 17 boards. The Timberwolves remain at the top of the Western Conference with an 18-5 record.

Minnesota hosts Indiana on Saturday night.
