Wild beat Canucks in shootout

(St. Paul, MN) -- The Wild picked up another two points during a 2-1 shootout win over the Vancouver Canucks at the Xcel Energy Center on Saturday.

Freddy Gaudreau scored late in the first period to give Minnesota the lead, but Vancouver tied the game in the second. Filip Gustavsson stopped 35 saves in the victory, and he stopped all three of Vancouver's shootout attempts.

The Wild are still in seventh-place in the Central Division with 28 points and a 12-12-4 record. Minnesota visits Pittsburgh on Monday night.
