Pickup Towers Hit Walmart in North Dakota

It’s called the Walmart Pickup Tower. And Grand Forks’ Walmart store is the first in North Dakota to receive it. The Pickup tower stands 16 feet tall – and works as a robot. You scan in the order barcode, the machine locates your order, and you get it right there. These machines are meant to make shopping easier and save time for the customer. Walmart Corporate Communications says more than 700 pickup towers will be installed nationwide by the end of the year.
