Wisecup Named Vice Chancellor of Strategy and Strategic Engagement

A new vice chancellor of strategy and strategic engagement has been named at the North Dakota University System.

James "Phil" Wisecup has now taken on these responsibilities. Wisecup, who goes by Phil, is a retired Navy Vice-Admiral, was President of the US Naval War College, and has deep experience in strategic planning and innovation.

Wisecup most recently served as the director of the Chief of Naval Operations' Strategic Studies Group, and as a faculty member of the U.S. Naval War College since leaving active duty in 2013. 

Chancellor Mark Hagerott said Wisecup would be a great fit for the position.
