ND Highway 13 from I-29 to Wahpeton closed, No Travel LIFTED for south central North Dakota

 

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) along with the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) have CLOSED ND Hwy 13 from I-29 to Wahpeton due to strong winds causing blowing and drifting snow, near-zero visibility, and life-threatening driving conditions. The road may be impassible or blocked. Motorists are not allowed to travel on a CLOSED roads due to life threatening conditions.

The No Travel Advised has been LIFTED from the south central part of the state including the cities of Valley City, Ellendale, Edgeley, and surrounding areas. 

  • I-29 CLOSED from Canadian Border to South Dakota Border.
     
  • A No Travel Advised is in effect for much of eastern North Dakota due to blowing and drifting snow creating areas of near zero visibility and hazardous driving conditions. Cities included in the No Travel Advised are Fargo, Casselton, Hillsboro, Cooperstown, Michigan, Cavalier, Pembina, Grafton, Grand Forks, Lisbon, Forman, Wahpeton, Kindred, and surrounding areas. Motorists should not travel due to hazardous conditions which may make it unsafe to travel.
     
  • There is a Travel Alert in effect for Valley City, Ellendale, Edgeley and surrounding areas.
