For the safety of patients, staff and the greater community, Altru Health System, based in Grand Forks, is restricting visitors at the hospital.
According to Altru, patients will only be allowed a maximum of two visitors. Anyone under the age of 18, or those with an active cold, cough, fever or other illness will not be allowed to visit patients.
Altru's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) will only allow parents to visit.
The hospital encourages patients and their families to be thoughtful when visiting any of Altru's outpatient locations, limiting presence of family members to the patient and either a guardian or escort, as needed.
