In Minnesota, 27 new positive tests TUESDAY, MUCH BETTER THAN THE 66 THE DAY BEFORE....that brings the total to 262 ....ONE MORE CONFIRMED CASE IN CLAY COUNTY, MAKING 3 IN ALL.. .HENNEPIN COUNTY - MINNEAPOLIS AREA - HAS 103.......ONE PERSON HAS DIED IN MN...

In South Dakota, TWO NEW POSITIVE TESTS YESTERDAY....30 TOTAL....ONE PERSON THERE HAS DIED....AND ABOUT 11-HUNDRED HAVE BEEN TESTED....

iN THE US, THE PACE OF FATALITIES IS INCREASING....202 HAVE DIED IN THE LAST 24 HOURS, MORE THAN ANY OTHER 24-HOUR PERIOD SO FAR.....784 ARE NOW DEAD.......with ABOUT 55-THOUSAND CONFIRMED CASES, UP ABOUT 10-THOUSAND IN THE LAST 24 HOURS.....

worldwide THERE ARE MORE THAN 19-THOUSAND 100 DEAD.....ABOUT 21-HUNDRED DIED YESTERDAY...........MORE THAN 428,000 CONFIRMED CASES, WHILE more than 109,000 PEOPLE  have had the virus worldwide and have recovered.....

AFTER A POSITIVE TREND IN ITALY WHERE THEY HAD SEEN 3 STRAIGHT DAYS OF DECLINING FATALITIES, ANOTHER JUMP TUESDAY, WITH 743.  NEARLY 7-THOUSAND PEOPLE HAVE DIED THERE.   THAT WOULD BE THE EQUIVALENT OF 38-THOUSAND PEOPLE HERE IN THE U-S....

IT'S DAY 10 OF THE PRESIDENTS 15 DAY CALL TO ACTION...

The big news overnight....Senators and Trump administration officials reached an agreement early this morning on a sweeping, stimulus measure to send direct payments and jobless benefits to individuals, states, and businesss.  The price tag is nearly 2 trillion....it will go to a vote of the senate this afternoon.  House leaders were also in on the main points but it's not guaranteed that it will get quick passage there.

WE NOW HAVE 3 CONFIRMED CASES IN CASS COUNTY....Gov. Doug Burgum said TODAY THAT THE TWO ARE MALES, one in his 70s and another in his 90s,. IT IS NOT KNOWN YET how they got the virus.

The Cass County Sheriff's office announced that its Tactical Operation Center IS NOW LIVE....SHERRIFF JESSE JAHNER SAYS HE WANTS TO MAKE SURE PEOPLE CAN GET QUICK INFO ON THE VIRUS AND POTENTIAL SPRING FLOODING....IT WILL BE  staffed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

THE CITY OF MOORHEAD ANNOUNCED TUESDAY THAT IT WILL not assess late fees on monthly utility bills during the remainder of the pandemic.

The city of Fargo ALONG WITH METRO MAYORS AND HEALTH CARE LEADERS WILL HOLD A COVID-19 briefing today at 11 AM....YOU CAN WATCH IT ON OUR WEBSITE AND FACEBOOK PAGES....

MN SENATOR AMY KLOBUCHAR SAYS HER HUSBAND'S BATTLE WITH THE VIRUS IS SERIOUS...SHE says HE'S STILL ON OXYGEN, AFTER HAVING PNEUMONIA AND COVID 19....AND THAT HE WAS  coughing up blood and his oxygen levels HAVE BEEN dangerously low FOR A FEW DAYS..

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said yesterday that his office has begun a statewide crackdown on people and businesses engaged in “pandemic profiteering,” including a downtown St. Paul smoke shop accused of charging $79.99 for a 36-roll pack of toilet paper and sending a warning letter to Menards,  investigating reports of alleged price-gouging of products at stores....he says the office has gotten more than 300 complaints of price gouging in stores.

Minnesota lawmakers will reconvene tomorrow to vote on a request from Gov. Tim Walz for another $350 million for the state’s coronavirus response. When lawmakers do return, there will be fewer members in the House and Senate at once — and even in the Capitol.  Lawmakers in the House and Senate will be asked to come in one door and leave from another, and keep 6 feet of distance from their colleagues and staff....leaders are asking some lawmakers to voluntarily stay home.  

ND GOVERNOR DOUG BURGUM BROUGHT  GOOD NEWS TO HIS DAILY PRESS BRIEFING TUESDAY FOR STUDENT LOAN BORROWERS TO THE BANK OF NORTH DAKOTA, WHERE A six-month PAYMENT HOLIDAY IS BEING OFFERED....HE ADDED THAT HE IS NOT SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING A LOCKDOWN OF THE STATE EVEN THOUGH 15 OTHER STATE HAVE ENACTED ONE...

ND State School Superintendent KIRSTEN BAESLER and Gov. Doug Burgum say they have collaborated on a request to the U.S. Department of Education to waive all federally mandated student assessment tests for the remainder of the school year.

President Trump said yesterday that he is hoping the American Economy could fully reopen by Easter.  He says lockdowns, personal responsibility, and new vaccines could quell the virus enough to get Americans back to work and back to spending....The president said they can't be irresponsible however to lose the momentum the country has reached with measures taken to reduce the spread....Many health experts say Easter is far too early.

White House officials ALSO  urged anyone leaving the New York City metropolitan area to self-isolate and monitor themselves carefully for 14 days as President Donald Trump called the region a “hot spot” for coronavirus cases.
