Cass County Electric Cooperative donates more than 1,000 N-95 facemasks to local healthcare workers

 

Cass County Electric Cooperative is doing its part to support Essentia Health and Sanford Health in their care for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. On Wednesday, April 1, 2020, President/CEO Marshal Albright and Manager of Energy Services Chad Brousseau delivered 540, N-95 facemasks to both health care systems.

Medical professionals around the country are desperate to extend the life of their gowns, gloves, and masks as the increase in demand are exceeding the supply amid the spike in COVID-19 cases

Kevin Bunn, manager of purchasing and facilities at Cass County Electric Cooperative, "While it is important to ensure the safety of our employees, sacrificing some of our supplies to protect the front-line healthcare workers. It's one way we can make an impact as our communities gear up for this fight." said Bunn.

Receiving the N-95 facemasks was Matt Oothoudt Essentia Health senior manager of logistics. "We appreciate our friends and neighbors graciously offering donations and support to help our staff and patients," said Tonya Loken, community relations program manager at Essentia Health.

"We are humbled by your generosity and caring."Jayne Gust, director of community relations for Sanford in Fargo, said the donation is greatly appreciated. "We are thankful to Cass County Electric and all our community partners for their generosity and commitment to keeping our patients and community safe."
